New developments in Oyhut Bay operations

Restaurant-bar scheduled to open

The ownership of Oyhut Bay, the new planned beach community in Ocean Shores, has announced a new management team effective immediately.

Patrick Brunstad, a long-time Ocean Shores resident and business leader, has been appointed as overall project management lead and spokesperson.

“As Oyhut Bay begins its second full summer as a growing and active vacation community, we are pleased to announce some changes in our management team initiated to stay responsive to our guests, our home buyers, and the greater Ocean Shores Community,” a news release said

Community founders, Stavros and Colleen Anastasiou, will retain their ownership share but focus on other projects.

“Pat Brunstad has been a great asset now that we are building more homes and commercial buildings. He has his fingers on the pulse of the community and is well-versed in the ways Oyhut Bay can continue to integrate into the Ocean Shore culture and activities,” said Jeff Foushee, representing the Oyhut Bay ownership and development team. “Going forward, our emphasis is serving our visitors and guests as we continue to build the high quality, traditional neighborhood resort community we envisioned from the beginning.”

“We thank the Anastasious and the team of professionals serving on the neighborhood design team which set the stage for our continued growth.”

The developers also announced the impending opening of Rovio’s, their first full-service restaurant and bar, which will be followed this spring by a coffee and gift shop. Work is currently under way on a second retail building near the main entrance on Marine View Drive. A new dock to access the network of canals and lakes opens this summer.

“The demand for beach homes and more nightly rentals has prompted us to place our four current furnished model homes into the rental inventory,” said Brunstad. “These fully furnished beach homes will also be available for sale.”
