NCN911: June Police statistics show increase in thefts

Weekly logs from the Ocean Shores Police Department and Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office

There were 25 thefts reported in June to the Ocean Shores Police Department, with only three of those cases being solved, according to the latest monthly report of police statistical information.

For the year through June, there have been 109 reported thefts, with nine cases closed or solved. There were 16 burglaries reported in June, with one case closed. there have been 89 burglaries for the year, with three cases closed.

Last June, there were 21 thefts and six burglaries, but none of those cases were solved. For the year in 2016, there were 217 thefts, and 74 reported burglaries.

Also in June, there were eight reported assaults, two rapes and one stolen auto, with 122 traffic stops resulting in 42 citations.
