Grays Harbor County Commissioners have approved a policy for electronic payment.

County Treasurer Ken Albert on Monday asked the commissioners to approve a policy that allows all county departments to accept electronic payments, including credit and debit cards.

The policy recommends the adoption of a “convenience fee,” a fee that helps the vendor (in this case the county) recover costs associated with electronic payment.

A fee has not been set and must be approved by the county Treasurer.
