How can we talk about the Holidays and not talk about sweet treats and delicious delights? We love our sweets on the beach so much we have an entire festival dedicated to all things chocolate with “Chocolate on the Beach” in February at Pacific Beach and Seabrook. Get one heated for a delicious holiday aroma.
Looking for a fresh baked item for a holiday party? The Ocean Shores Bakery and Co-op at 698 Ocean Shores Blvd. NW has an ever-changing bakery case. They even have fresh gingerbread men! Looking for unique stocking stuffers? Buddy and Howie’s Old-Fashioned Candy Store at 739 Point Brown NW has all the favorites from your childhood. Wouldn’t it be fun to get your grandkids one of those giant, and I mean GIANT, jawbreakers for Christmas? Do it, your kids won’t mind.
Still an ice cream lover even in the winter? Murphy’s has a great selection of fresh handmade ice-cream. Stop by and see if they have any holiday flavors. Or head over to Peppermint Parlor and enjoy a waffle or sugar cone and then burn off some of those calories on the Bumper Cars. Enjoy your ice cream from the car and watch the holiday light show.
