A deceased deer found at a residence in the 110 block of Canal Drive NE on Aug. 25th marked the 85th dead deer recorded by the city of Ocean Shores so far this year.

“That’s a lot of dead deer biting the dust,” Mayor Crystal Dingler said in reporting the number to the City Council later that night.

Meanwhile, the issue of feeding deer in city limits remains on the City Council’s “future meeting topics.”
