Fans flock for Fair fun

Grays Harbor County Fair draws thousands on first day.

The Grays Harbor County Fair opened Wednesday at the fairgrounds in Elma.

Fair hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. today and Friday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Adult admission is $10, seniors 62 and older $7, kids age 6-15 $7, and kids age 5 and younger get in free. The front and pavilion gates will allow fairgoers to pay for admission using credit or debit cards.

Today, Thursday, is Timberland Bank Day and Kids Day. Children ages 6 to 15 will get $2 off admission and carnival rides will cost $2.50 each throughout the day. Country music artist Lorrie Morgan will perform on the Pepsi Stage tonight. The Creature Critters show begins at 1 p.m. on the Custom Security Stage. The Library Program is at 11 a.m. on the Jodesha Kids Zone Stage.
