Corvettes line up Westport over Labor Day

Event coincided with the Westport Seafood Festival

In conjunction with the Westport Seafood Festival and Craft Show, classic Corvettes lined up across Westhaven Drive beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3.

Larry Benner, president of the Corvettes of Grays Harbor Club, expected more than 100 Corvettes to participate in the 13th annual Corvettes on the Marina car show.

“I’d like to send a special thank you to Rex and Jean Bell,” said Benner. “Rex is my vice president and does all the leg work, and he and his wife just kicked butt to put this show together.”

Westhaven Drive was closed to vehicle traffic Saturday during the car show. The Show ‘N Shine ended with a 3 p.m. parade down Westhaven Drive for a swing by the Port Observation Tower at the corner of Westhaven and Cove Avenue as they exited the area.
