Controlled burn clears way for new Beacon Pest Control

Volunteers from Grays Harbor Fire District 7 participated in a controlled, live fire exercise for several hours Saturday as the structure that has housed Beacon Pest Control, on Damon Rd. just outside the Ocean Shores gates, was intentionally burned to rubble. Beacon owners Ed and Shirley Mitchell said they will complete demolition of the building their business occupied for 15 years, and immediately begin work on a new office and shop structure. They hope to be in their new building in July. In the meantime, they are offering all their usual services from a temporary location at 818 Pt. Brown Ave. NW.
