The Ocean Shores Fire Department recently dedicated its new, state-of-the-art fire engine to its fleet of emergency response vehicles. OSFD hosted a traditional push-in ceremony for the new engine on Saturday, Jan. 18. Members of the department and their family participated in dedicating the vehicle to the service of the City of Ocean Shores.
The engine was purchased through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program (AFG) administered by FEMA.
OSFD was awarded the $511,742 grant in the fall of 2018. It included a 5% match paid through the city’s general fund.
