Personal Preparedness Forum

Tuesday April 4, 5 p.m. Grays Harbor Emergency management presents information on site specific risk and hazard for emergency and natural disasters; and on how to better prepare yourself to reduce the impact of disaster, community, home, family and pets. Disaster medication preparation, and learn how to get involved in your community.

Experience coloring

Coloring pages and books are becoming the rage among adults. If you would like to try coloring – check out the coloring sheets and pencils for you to use.

Story Time

Saturdays April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, 10-10:40 a.m. Books, rhymes, interactive stories, songs and fun, ages birth-5. Presented by Niko.

AARP Tax-Aide

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. AARP Tax-Aide is offering free income tax assistance and preparation of personal income tax returns. Tax-Aide is the nation’s largest free volunteer-run tax assistance and preparation service. Emphasis is on low and moderate income taxpayers, with special attention to those 60 and older. Trained volunteers assist in filing basic tax forms, including the Earned Income Credit and Child Tax Credit. You do not need to be an AARP member to receive assistance. No appointment is necessary.

Book Talk

Wednesday March 29, 1-3 p.m. “Dream Chasers of the West: A Homestead Family of Glacier Park” by B.L. Wettstein

A true story of Clara who left in 1913 alone, and became one of the first women to homestead in Glacier Park, MT. It was a time when the men were tough, but the women were tougher.

Family Movie Day

Friday March 31. 12:30-4 p.m. Enjoy “Moana.” Movies are shown on the Library’s “BIG” screen. This fun event is free and open to movie lovers of all ages.

Teen Zone

April 1, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The library meeting room is a ‘teen only’ zone for anyone grades 7-12. The Teen Zones are sponsored by the Friends of the Library and receive generous donations of snacks and drinks from the Baha’i of Ocean Shores.

Teen Advisory Board

Saturday April 1, 3-4 p.m. The Teen Advisory Board or TAB is a group of 7-12 grade students who want to support the

library and help plan teen events.

Video Game Club

Tuesday April 4 and 18, 2:45-4:45 p.m. Come hang out after school and play video games. Ages 13 and up welcome.

Friends of the Library Book Sale

Saturday April 8, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Books Galore: paperbacks, hardbacks, fiction, cookbooks, children’s books, DVD’s. Most 2/$1. Proceeds support library programs for all ages. There is an ongoing, honor system book sale during all library open hours in the library meeting room.

Beading Circle

Wednesday April 12, 10 a.m.-noon. Join the newly formed Beading Circle, which meets on the first Tuesday of the month. Learn about new beading techniques and projects. Bring your beads, your creativity and enjoy the company of your fellow beaders.
