Teen Book Club

Thursday May 23, 5-6 p.m. “Splintered,” by A.G. Howard

This club is open to 7-12 grade students who want to meet other book lovers. We will meet once a month on the 4th Thursday at 5 p.m. to talk about young adult fiction. The Ocean Shores Friends of the Library sponsor this club and have purchased 10 copies of each title for teens to check out.

Kid’s Extravaganza

Saturday May 25, 1-2 p.m. Join us at the Library to celebrate the world of Star Wars. Use your reading powers for fun crafts and activities. Costumes are welcome!

Family Movie Day

Saturday May 25 2:30-4 p.m. “Lego Movie 2” Movies are shown on the library’s “big” screen. They are free and open to movie lovers of all ages.

Book Group

Friday June 8, 3-4 p.m. The book being discussed will be a fiction selection, “Sea Runners,” by Ivan Doig. The Ocean Shores Friends of the Library purchased 7 copies available to check out for 2 weeks.

Book A Techie

Need Computer Help? Need to read a downloadable book?

30-minute face-to-face session. One week advanced registration and a current up-to-date Ocean Shores Library card is required. Appointments will be confirmed and are subject to the Techie’s availability and knowledge. Techie cannot help with hardware problems. Come in to the Library to sign-up.

“Dog Gone Dogs” Which adorable quilted puppy reminds you of your favorite furry friend? Stop by and also check out the beautiful quilted fire hydrant! It is one of a kind.

Cambodia Photo Tour

Saturday June 1, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. “Cambodia, the Wild, Wild West!” Please join us for refreshments and conversation as we take a photographic journey through the eyes of award-winning Ocean Shores lensman Ed Schroll into Cambodia’s diverse culture. It’s a fascinating, moving look into the joys and struggles of everyday life in country where family is everything, but basic needs like clean water and education are still a challenge.
