WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON…
HEAVY SNOW IS POSSIBLE ON TUESDAY OVER PARTS OF WESTERN WASHINGTON AS A FRONTAL SYSTEM ARRIVES. ENOUGH COLD AIR SHOULD REMAIN IN PLACE NEAR HOOD CANAL FOR HEAVY SNOW TO OCCUR THERE AND ALONG THE SOUTHEAST SLOPES OF THE OLYMPIC MOUNTAINS. 6 INCHES OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE AROUND HOOD CANAL AND IN THE OLYMPICS.

“Radar gap” on KIRO
From Sen. Maria Cantwell’s office (I believe this is KIRO-TV Ch. 7, will check):
KIRO has changed the airing date of the interview with Senator Cantwell that will be airing later this month. The documentary KIRO interviewed Senator Cantwell for late last year on WA flooding and radar gaps is slated to now on Feb. 23 at 7:00 p.m on KIRO.

SR 109 is OPEN
As of last night, the stretch of 109 about 5 miles outside of Ocean Shores (Mile Post 10) going toward Aberdeen was reopened. Says Bruce Richardson, our computer columnist: “My wife went to Aberdeen this morning and said that 109 is open and she could net even tell where the water was…”
