The Boy Scouts will pick up your tree for free on Jan. 3, 4, 10 and 11. Call 500-7683 to schedule a pickup (leave your name, phone number, address and date you want your tree taken away.
If those dates don’t work for you, LeMay will haul your tree away, for $3.99. To schedule a pick up, call 533-1251.

GLORIA’S CHRISTMAS VILLAGE STORY
About ten years ago I found myself with too much time on my hands. Wondering through a craft store one day I saw these little houses that were just waiting to be painted. I had never tried anything like this before, and my artsy crafty talents were limited. I bought a package of different sized brushers, a few bottles of ceramic paint, and two houses. I started my project as soon as I got home. It took a real steady hand and patience, but I loved it. I would spend about 15 hours per house, so would space it out over 3 days. After painting them I took them outside and put a glaze or seal over them, sprinkling the sparkly stuff on while they were still sticky.

Santa in Pacific Beach — changes
Due to the unforeseen weather conditions the GHFD#8 Santa will not be touring in his fire truck. Instead He will be at the North Beach Community Center (off of SR 109 in Pacific Beach) at 4pm with cookies, cocoa & gifts till 6pm. Anyone with questions can call Head Elf Patsy Ohlsen at 276-4447.
