Say “cheese”
IGA is hosting a “Holiday Cheese Bazaar” today from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free tastings of “delicacies from around the world.” It’s also a bit of a celebration, as IGA was recently named Business of the Quarter by the Ambassador’s Committee.
I don’t know what it is
but I like it:
Actually, it’s a high school band called Distorted Whispers, entertaining at a Halloween night post-game party at the Connection.
The Connection will sponsor a teen dance (under age 21) on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 9 pm-1 am. The dance features hip-hop, rock, and requests D.Jуed to black light/strobe light and fog machine effects. A $3 cover includes snacks. Other concessions also available. Call 289-3160 or go to www.GotTheConnection.com for more info.

ACE ladies
“Ladies Night” at ACE Hardware was a huge hit on a rainy Wednesday evening. Those who waited in a nightclub-style line were treated to complimentary wine, champagne, cheeses, music . . . and, my informant tells me, a chocolate fountain. The “DO NOT ENTER” sign on this night was for males, as the only guys around were the tuxedo-clad employees, holding umbrellas to escort ladies from their cars.

Ladies only, please!
Don’t even bother reading this, guys, you are positively not invited . . . It’s ”Ladies Night” at ACE Hardware this evening, beginning at 6 p.m. ”Those of you that attended last year will remember that a fabulous time was had by all that attended,” says Leslie Reedy, from the Chamber of Commerce. No shopping is permitted during the gal-a (get it?), “just food, drink, lots of prizes and a great time.”
The all-female social is free. (Your intrepid reporter has been cleared to make a brief appearance for a photo “behind enemy lines.”)
