Ingredients
1 1/2 cup flour
2 cups grated Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup (1stick) butter, softened
1 medium apple, cored and cut into 1/2 inch chunks
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground ginger
zest from 1 orange
1/2 cup maple syrup

Ocean Crest feast
Ocean Crest Resort, much-praised Moclips restaurant, has announced its Thanksgiving Day Buffett menu: Waldorf salad; organic free-range turkey; citrus bread stuffing; pork loin with huckleberry mushroom goulash; maple pecan sweet potatoes; creamed pearl onions; green beans with braised fennel and pancetta; whole berry cranberry relish; fresh cranberry sauce; herb roasted root vegetables; Mediterranean style Israeli couscous; assorted breads.
Dessert? Cranberry minced meat pie; pumpkin cheese cake; Washington apple crisp with house made caramel sauce.
Price: $30 for adults; $16 for children 12 and under.
The Ocean Crest restaurant will be closed for routine maintenance from Nov. 30 to Dec. 12.

Say “cheese”
IGA is hosting a “Holiday Cheese Bazaar” today from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free tastings of “delicacies from around the world.” It’s also a bit of a celebration, as IGA was recently named Business of the Quarter by the Ambassador’s Committee.
