Drugs, guns bust in Ocean Shores
The Daily World’s Saturday edition reports that “Two Ocean Shores men have been arrested and a third is being sought in connection with a methamphetamine bust that led officers to uncover three stolen guns.”
A house on East Rain Street was raided by Ocean Shores Police and Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Department officers last Sunday. Three confiscated guns are believed to be from a North Beach burglary in April in which 17 guns were stolen from a home.
Grinch nabbed
Someone who slithered into a home and cleaned up a la Mr. Grinch has apparently been nabbed. And, if you’ve had a GPS unit stolen recently, scroll to the bottom of this post. Release from the OSPD:
A 20 year old Ocean Shores man has been identified as the suspect in the burglary that occurred on December 16, 2010 from an occupied home in the 200 block of Canal Drive NE. A television, game console and Christmas presents were reported stolen.
On December 17, 2010 Aberdeen Police arrested the man after he had attempted to enter several parked vehicles in their town. A search of his property revealed stolen items from vehicle prowls in Ocean Shores. Aberdeen Police contacted Ocean Shores officers and they were able to determine that the suspect was involved in the residential burglary. The suspect was interviewed by Ocean Shores Police Officer Shaun Beebe and he admitted to entering the house and stealing the items. Another burglary arrest
Friday morning, Ocean Shores Police arrested a 38-year-old man (residence not known) and a 25-year-old woman on charges of burglary. This is the sixth time the woman has been jailed this year, on charges ranging from Domestic Violence to Trafficking in Stolen Property. The two were booked into county jail. No other details at this time. In the last two months, the OSPD has made at least seven arrests on burglary charges.
Phony money
From Det. Chris Iversen, OSPD: “I just received word of counterfeit $50.00 bills being used at two businesses in Aberdeen. Keep your eyes open for these.”

Hit and run arrest
From the Ocean Shores Police Dept.:
A 46 year old Lynnwood man is in custody at Grays Harbor County Jail for the January 19th Injury Hit and Run Accident that occurred on Pt. Brown Avenue in Ocean Shores. Ocean Shores Police were able to obtain information from witnesses that led to the identification of the suspect vehicle and driver. An arrest warrant was issued for Michael Bourgette of Lynnwood for Vehicular Assault and Hit and Run Injury Accident. Lynnwood Police arrested Bourgette at his residence on the warrant on 1/27/1. The suspect vehicle was seized and a warrant has been obtained for the search of the vehicle. Information indicates that Bourgette had been drinking prior to the incident and he currently has bail set at $250,000. The victim, William Avery, remains in Harborview Hospital with extensive injuries.
Update on bank robber, hit-and-run
Russ Fitts, Dep. Chief of the Ocean Shores Police Dept., says the suspect in this week’s bank robbery “was a white male. It was almost impossible to tell but witnesses remembered one small area on his body that flesh showed and it was light complected. Also he was last seen on the northwest corner of Pt. Brown and Ocean Shores Blvd and heading westbound on Ocean Shores Blvd on the north side in the direction of the Days Inn.
Additionally, his clothing now is described as a dark blue hooded rain jacket and not a hooded sweatshirt, dark baseball hat with light colored bill, blue jeans and tan slip on shoes.

“We are still looking for witnesses to the possible accident that occurred on in front of Cadillac Jack’s around 10 pm on Tuesday. The victim is still in Harborview.”
