Pacific NW Great Outdoor Expo & Gun Show

Sand & Sawdust Festival

The Sand and Sawdust Festival returns to the Ocean Shores Convention Center Friday through Sunday, June 28-30. The annual event features one of the largest chainsaw shows and auctions in the Northwest, plus food, crafts, music, a beer garden, and more for the entire family. The Amateur Sand Sculpting Contest returns to the beach this year, along with a new event, The Sand Drawing Celebration led by founder and coordinator, Justin Boone (Justin the Circler), creating gigantic sand mandalas and more on the beach near the Chance a la Mer approach. As part of the event, Associated Arts of Ocean Shores has moved their national Juried Fine Arts, 3D & Photography Show to the Festival, with hundreds of pieces on display in the Convention Center. Caboose move June 29

The Museum of the North Beach rescued an historic 1912 wooden Northern Pacific Railway caboose 10 years ago, and they will be moving it to a new home at the site of the new Museum of the North Beach in Moclips at about 12 noon on Saturday, June 29. The transport will begin around noon and travel along State Route 109, 1½ miles to the new site.

Superhero Music Fest

The Superhero Music Fest is a charity benefit concert weekend, July 19-21 at the Ocean Shores Convention Center. Sponsored by Double Barrel BBQ, the event is headlined Saturday night by Heart By Heart, which features two of the original members who were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame along with the rest of the group’s original lineup in 2013. There will be five bands indoors and five solo performers outdoors, plus two beer gardens, vendors, food trucks and a Kids’ Zone. Plus superheroes are coming to town from the western Washington non-profit volunteer group Costumed Characters 4 Causes. Proceeds from the event will be donated to Ocean Shores Food Bank, Grays Harbor Youth Athletics, PAWS Ocean Shores, Friends of the Library Ocean Shores, North Beach Children & Family Care Alliance Ocean Shores, Connections in Montesano and The Garage Music and Art Center in Aberdeen.
