“A Week In Paris”

Join photographer Patricia Smith as she returns from her Paris trip and brings back pieces with her in the form of wonderful photos. Join Patricia and other artists at the Gallery of Ocean Shores throughout the month of August.

Put Aug. 18 on your calendar from 12-4 as music, treats, and Patricia herself will be at the Gallery. The Gallery of Ocean Shores is open daily from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at 849 Point Brown Ave, NW and it is filled with talent of all kinds and artists who are passionate about their craft.

“Polymer Clay Delights”

The Artist of the Month for September at the Gallery of Ocean Shores will be JuLee Wolfe. Julie is a wonder at polymer clay creations. While most of JuLee’s creations are jewelry, some of her work takes form in three dimensional fun! Join JuLee on Sept. 15th as the Gallery opens with music, treats, and artists from 12-4.

Welcome to New Artists

The Gallery is excited to welcome two new artists. Kathleen Guest has been teaching and creating in music, theater, writing, and creative art since first standing at cave paintings in France. She carries this experience with her as she shares her creations and joy in her art. We look forward to many sharings of her art and her delight in art as she joins the Gallery. We also welcome Angelique Modin to the Gallery. Drawing people and animals has been her love and passion since childhood. Sharing her first effort as she gifted it and experiencing their response was life changing and she knew that this would become her life. She began at 9 with submitting a winning piece of work, which was later shown in her school. Recently Angelique was commissioned by Starbucks (her day job) and it now hangs in the Snoqualamie store. Her art is followed online by many and we are looking forward to having her pencil work displayed on our walls.

Evening Creations Workshop

Join Terry Price for an evening to create unique and exciting silk scarves, using magic markers to add color and pattern to a silky bed. The resulting piece is worthy of a trip to the opera. Gift this to the person who is impossible to shop for. Sign up for the class on Sept. 19 from 6-8 p.m. at the Gallery of Ocean Shores. We look forward to more of these workshops of fun and creation throughout the Fall.

Pour a Masterpiece

LuAnne Daily, a local artist, will be giving a three-hour workshop on Sept. 20. Stop by the Gallery of Ocean Shores and see her wonderful acrylic pour pieces. The colors seem to decide what they are going to do and it is wonderful!! LuAnne has been working with this media for some time and is ready to share the excitement with others in the form of her work on the Gallery walls and her workshop at the Guild. Sign up for this class at the Gallery.

New Art at the Interpretive Center

The art at the Coastal Interpretive Center billboard is now a stunning photo by Terry DeHart. See the wonder, and, while you’re there, enjoy the Center. The poster (in a smaller version) is available at both the Center and the Gallery of Ocean Shores. The posters from each piece of art created by local artists and displayed at the Interpretive Center are available in limited quantities, so collect your local art.
