Coast Calendar: Summer concert series continues

Oyhut Bay, Seabrook both have live music this summer

Events continue at Oyhut Bay at the south end of the Ocean Shores peninsula this weekend with a July 15 concert by Ericka Corban.

Corban, who is working on her second album following her appearance on NBC’s “The Voice,” will appear at the Oyhut Bay amphitheater for a free concert on Saturday afternoon from noon to 2.

The concert will be at the newly completed stage feature adjacent to the Village Square at Oyhut Bay, where a grassy sloping amphitheater complete with a natural wood pergola and stage area will showcase the concert. There is plenty of room to spread a blanket and picnic or enjoy from your own lawn chair.

Oyhut Bay is located at 400 Salmonberry Lane off of Marine View Drive in Ocean Shores. Information online is at www.oyhutbay.com.

Seabrook summer concerts

First held in August 2015, the Seabrook Summer Concert series this year will be spotlighting six artists across eight performances. Shows are scheduled at 7:30 p.m. each Friday in July and August. Seabrook’s Sunset Amphitheater will host the series, giving concertgoers views of sky, sea and the town itself.

The series continues this week with Portland-area folk band, Fox and Bones, just back from a European tour and currently on a nationwide tour. July 21 brings the first of two performances by local favorite Ericka Corban. The final July concert brings Anna Robinson, a country-rock singer who moved from South Dakota to the Northwest.

Aug. 11 features Shannon DeLong, who recently brought her acoustic sound to the Pacific Northwest by way of New Zealand. She will be followed by Portland indie artist Redwood Son on Aug. 18.

These shows will be bookended by encore performances from Fox and Bones on the 4th and Ericka Corban on the 25th.

Concert attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs, and the town’s shops and restaurants are all located nearby and will be open.
