Story Time Saturdays, Oct. 19, & 26, 10:30-11 a.m. Books, rhymes, interactive stories, songs. Presented by Niko.

Children’s Game Night Thursday, October 17, 4 – 6 p.m. Get your brain ready for lots of fun! Bring your friends and join us at the library for an afternoon of wacky games for all ages.

Children’s Pumpkin Decorating October 26, 1- 2 p.m. Elementary age children and their families are invited to have fun decorating a pumpkin. A pumpkin and decorating supplies are provided for each child who attend this spooky pumpkin program. Sponsored by the Ocean Shores Friends of the Library and pumpkins are generously provided by IGA.

Family Movie Day Saturday, October 26, 2:30 – 5 p.m. “Toy Story 4” Movies are shown on the Library’s “big” screen. This fun event is free and open to movie lovers of all ages.

TEENS

Teen Book Club! Thursday, October 24, 4 – 5 p.m. “Ship Breaker” by Paolo Bacigalupi This club is open to 7-12 grade students who want to meet other book lovers. We will meet once a month on the 4th Thursday at 4:00pm to talk about young adult fiction, unless an alternate date is scheduled. The Ocean Shores Friends of the Library sponsor this club and have purchased 10 copies of each title for teens to check out.

Teen Halloween Party Tuesday, October 29, 6 – 9 p.m. Teens grades 7-12 are welcome to attend! Watch a scary movie, enter a costume contest and enjoy snacks and candy. Sponsored by Ocean Shores Friends of the Library.

ADULTS

Book Group Saturday, October 19, 3-4 p.m. The book being discussed is a fiction selection called “Rules of Magic” by Alice Hoffman. There will be seven copies available to check out for two weeks. The Friends of the Library sponsor this program and purchase the titles.

Art in the Library – Stuart May, photographic artist and award-winning nature photographer, owner of Fusions Gallery and published in many magazines and publications. A conservationist, nature lover and animal rights advocate shoots photographs in Black & White, Color and Infrared.

Computer Class Instruction? Are you looking for Computer Class instruction? The Library is considering offering beginning computer classes ranging from Microsoft word to basic computer literacy starting in the Fall of 2019. If you are interested in participating in a class, please let us know what you would like to see offered.
