LID lump payment discounts?
Answers from the City Clerk, re potential discounts for Street LID payments in full, and when first payments on an installment plan will be due:
Any discount for property owners within LID 2007-01 who prepay their assessments would be a decision of the City Council when it confirms the assessment roll. With its prior LIDs, the City has offered a 10% discount. City staff will recommend to the Council that a 10% discount be offered for prepaid assessments for LID 2007-01.

Coyote warning
This was from a month ago — anyone having problems with coyotes since then?
“I am sending a warning out to ones who live in Ocean shores area. Please keep careful watch on your cats and small dogs. A coyote came in my drive yesterday after my cat. Around 5 pm. Picked her up and dropped her. She is a big cat and that is what saved her. She climbed a tree and would not come down. Poor thing Had to have some one go up and get her. Also I am missing my other cat. A lot of cats are missing here.”

Another tsunami test
According to Chuck Wallace, the Grays Harbor County Emergency Management Director who recently gave a presentation in Ocean Shores, if you feel a strong earthquake here:
a) “You better take the official tsunami evacuation route out of the city”
b) “You better be high stepping to the hotels”
c) “You better go to the Ocean Shores Electric Boat Company and get a ride”
d) “You better get on the Internet and Google ‘where to go in an earthquake in a coastal town’”
That was only a test
All Hazard/Tsunami siren tests, at noon the first Monday of every month, holiday or not . . .
