Go Elk Head!
If you’re in the mood for one of those fantastic Elk Head brews, you’ll have to drive all the way up to Port Townsend. The Ocean Shores “Tap Room” is closed today and tomorrow, as Rich Dirk and company compete in the Strange Brew festival. Hopefully, the Ocean Shores regulars will be toasting Elk Head awards, next weekend . . .

No I think it’s great that they went to the festival as a group. It just would not be the same with a stand in group. What the Elk Head Brew house and tasting room brought to shores is unique and closing for the festival is part of their culture just like not being open on the 4th of July because Rich likes that event on the beach. That is just my humble opinion.
Is there no one else they can have pour their brew?
I am glad that Rich and the team are able to get out and do something fun. I hope they win the comp. There beer is by far one of the best things that has happened to Shores in a long time. I have seen many try food and beverage in Shores and do not do well. The main reason is quality. What Rich and his bride brought to Shores is a quality product. I try and make it every Thurs, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The good news is I’m out of town this weekend and will not have to be sad to see the closed sign in the window.

Love the Elk Head Tap Room and best of luck to Rick and crew at the Strange Brew! They have my award for customer service, great brews and Nellie’s excellent food!
