Coyote alert (again)
From Bill Black: Here is a picture of a Coyote I took yesterday, May 18 at about 5:45 PM. The coyote had caught and ate a squirrel in my yard and was walking away in this picture. The location was near Bass Ave at Overlake. Little dogs and cats beware.

Except maybe for Wiley…
Yeah, CAC, isn’t that the truth! When was the last time anyone on a bicycle got chased down by a coyote?
I had 4 walk past my house last week. Just strolling down the street. And? I choose to live in this environment. Meaning, if I didn’t want to see them, I wouldn’t be living here. Even if you live in the city, meaning Seattle, you will most likely see them every once in awhile (I did). Personally, I feel it’s a gift to see creatures like this in the wild. If you have a pet, it is your responsibility to keep them inside. We are not the only creatures on this planet. We have to learn to share space with other living things. Life feeds life. So protect your pets and be responsible owners.
They are part of the ecological system here. People complain about voles and rats. Well these guys love them! Live and let live. They are scared of you when you approach. They are not going to run unless you are close enough to be a danger to them. I see them all the time. They are probably safer than most of the dogs that run free.
I’ve seen this long-time resident lounging at the edge of the woods on Lk. W. Lp., gazing at the lake and the park beyond.
If you must shoot the wildlife, use a Canon.
Or Nikon.
I have a question that I’m sure someone can answer for me. If we see one can we shoot them? Like with a BB gun, maybe something a little bigger?
looks like the same one i saw last week just north of chance a lamer on dolphin in that big field. scarey part is, it didnt spook off when i drove up on it and opened my door to take a photo of it.
