How low will it go?
From the County: The National Weather Service has extended a Winter Weather Advisory for Grays Harbor County until noon on Tuesday
Tuesday : morning lows beginning in the mid 20’s to teens and although sunshine will be predominant today, the high temperatures county wide will remain below freezing.
Tuesday night : extreme cold with temperatures forecast from the high teens along the coast to the low teens and possibly single digit temperatures inland. Possible snow flurries.
Wednesday and Thursday: Temperatures are expected to return to normal with highs near 35-40 degrees and lows in the 30-35 degree range.
Grays Harbor County Emergency Management is urging all residents to use extreme caution while driving due to the possibility of black ice. Be prepared for record setting bitter cold that will continue until Wednesday morning. If you use portable liquid fueled heaters, please DO NOT refuel indoors. Become aware of the warning signs of Carbon Monoxide poisoning. It is good practice to always leave a window open 1-2” while using portable liquid fueled heaters.
