High School runners make District

All of the North Beach High cross country runners who entered the Pacific Cross Country League Championships (at Ocasta, Tuesday) qualified for the District championships. From Coach Rick Leighty:

After receiving word on Monday that both teams had earned Distinguished Academic Awards, both groups took another big step towards reaching the next level competitively. Ben Grover ran a beautiful race and helped pull his teammates to new heights. Koren Forland ran by far her best race. We now have 10 days to get ready for Districts. The very tight competition means we’ll have to step it up even more to earn a spot to state.
