Penguin on the beach?
Is this critter photographed by Becky Baker near the casino really a Penguin, who wandered here as the result of some bizarre weather pattern (certainly a summer cool enough for a polar bird!), or . . . .

ok so i may have been wrong about the type of bird but when i called beacon, i learned this little devil has been chasing people on the beach! they asked me if i would try and catch it to bring it in.
my first thought was, if its chasing people, why would i want to try and catch a bird with an attitude!!! lol
goes without saying, i left well enough alone for the experts!
becky baker aka ‘cutie’
I concur it is a common Murre Uria aalge. Maybe… its looking for a real estate deal with out community club fees. Try Sultan Washington.
Common Murre Uria aalge is what it looks like…
