A few dunes fires
With mobile units stationed at the beach, OSFD quickly extinguished a half-dozen dunes fires last night.
How was the 4th where you were?

Thank you Gary, I found them!
There used to be one at the jetty too, don’t know if it is still there.
The one on Ocean Shores city web site, it’s up on the Shilo pointing out over Chance approach. Is there another one? I’ve got Long Beach and Westports in my favorite too : )
Lorraine, which web cam do you watch?
Currently nothing in the way of fireworks are legal in Auburn, Washington…but I was still hearing them go off after midnight last night and they were too close to be in the surrounding communities. In fact, my husband and I heard one that was so loud we both knew it was something extremely illegal and dangerous. Love fireworks displays, but my favorites are the kind put on by Disneyland and Walt Disney World : )We also are close enough to see the high ones set off at the Emerald Downs Race Track in Auburn and enjoyed watching them on Saturday night. We have seen these in person for the last two years and the program is put on by professionals who have safety in mind and know what they are doing. We saw the fireworks over at the beach on the web cam last night, we watched for about 20 minutes and kept our fingers crossed that there would be no big fires or injuries for you all, happy to hear that you all made it though!
Safe and sound at home. I do want to compliment the Ocean Shores police, Grays Harbor Sheriff, our fire dept, rescue units, our animal/code enforcement officer, the volunteers and the dispatchers. Our scanner was popping like crazy Thursday night thru last night. Everyone was right on top of everything! They worked hard, fast and furiously. What is fun for most everyone else, is a vast amount of work for others. THANK YOU ALL!
Yea was real nice seeing everyone out to help. Thanks.
Thought I was in Mexico. Things were going off everywhere. Now we just need to sync all these people so we can have something like the Macy’s Fireworks. Maybe we need to get KOSW to broadcast a program people can sync with!!! That would be an interesting twist
Loud! And after seeing the beach this morning, I know why! Wow ~ what a mess. Great crew of people did fabulous work this morning though, it’s looking so much better!
