The beach is a state highway and all licensing, registration and rules of the road apply.
the same as they do on city streets Maximum speed limit is 25 mph, but possibly slower if beaches are crowded.
Do not drink and drive!!!
Violation of fireworks, motor vehicle or other laws can lead to citations ranging from $150 to well over $1000.

That is because the county has contracted with the state to provide the service. Then Ocean Shores has contracted with the county to provide the service. SO, we get a little over 20K to take care of the beach area all year long. You will see some county personnel at times. You also will see the Fish and Game people there too. The State Park Rangers also show up. However, they are busy up there right now too.
if the beach and surrounding area are state land why does os have the task of policeing the area? when was the last time you saw a wsp or county mounty patrolling the beach? it is very disheartening when there it no support from either and the wrong doers outnumber the police by 1000 to one.
Some of them are written on the clutter of signs as you enter Ocean Shores down Point Brown. Red letters on white really does not stand out.
A better idea would be to send it on our new water bills people get. We appear to be generating them now ourselves.
Even with the rules, unless enforced they mean nothing. No one listens to them in the first place. Listen to the town. Look at the litter in the streets from the fireworks.
Maybe we should require all campground lots to have water meters and water. Then we have additional precautions. Why have a fire pit without water?? Makes no sense to me.
how do the tourists get notified of these rules?
