If nothing more, we can learn from this experience. Look at what is happening in Chile. They have good codes, have earthquakes all the time and are relatively prepared. However, the communications, media, and obvious lack of personal responsibility persists. The expectations of the people are no where near the capabilities of the government. That is because the government, like our’s, thinks they can handle it. Obviously they will not be able to deal with it. Oh, pick up your Tsunami and disaster preparation flyers at the Police Station City Hall and Visitor Information Center. Realize that you are on your own.
i just hope the Tsunami didn’t wash all them razor clams out to sea.
“Uhm fixed-income…how is 14:57 equal to 2:47?”
Well, one good “Oops” always deserves another.
See….this is what I’ll miss while you’re on hiatus. This is the reason I subscribed to the paper version of NCN in the first place!
thanks for the correction, fixed-income
Oh, and I meant to say, thank you Tom for reporting this even while on hiatus! I came here right after reading the headlines from CNN this morning
Uhm fixed-income…how is 14:57 equal to 2:47? You mean 2:57? I’m confused.
I overheard a guy behind me at the grocery store, and I quote,
“I’m here to dig, I ain’t scared. If I see water I’ll run”.
Lovely, I hope none of our boys will be out there risking their lives to save his arrogant hind end.
So much for your Hiatus. Never a dull moment in Ocean Shores. We have a clam dig weekend and hundreds of EMS people here for our tsunami. Could we have planned it any better…
Ahhh Tom, 1457 is 2:47 PM
