It happened yesterday. They were watching a surfing contest and SWOOSH, this huge wave came in and wiped them all out! They were all focused on the contest and no one saw the wave coming. Simply a miracle no one was killed or washed out to sea but I guess there were broken bones galore. The video of that wave and the onlookers is INCREDIBLE! Anybody who thinks that our jetty is a great viewing stand for high surf needs to see this video.
