RIG reminder
This week, the North Coast News asks the Readers Input Group (“RIG the Paper”): Who should be the Mayor of Ocean Shores, for the next two years? More important than just “who,” you back this person for what reason? What qualifications should this individual have?
RIG will meet Thursday at 10 a.m. in the conference room at 114 E. Chance a la Mer NE (across from the IGA).

Oooo, good question marymary!
Won’t be at the meeting today, but I vote for someone who’s lazy. Usually, people ask for a hyperactive extroverted visionary genius with the vitality of a youth and proven leadership ability. I think for now we need someone who is lazy. Visionary genius is OK, too, but lazy people make the best executives. Thump, bump or dump, lazy people know how to get others to do their own work and, therefore, stop unnecessary work altogether.
Is there some law that prevents a mayor from hiring his own private analyst/consultant/assistant on his own dime?
