Big day for North Beach wrestlers

Eleven North Beach wrestlers finished fourth or better in today’s “sub-regional” (a.k.a. district) tournament, qualifying for next week’s regional tournament at Tacoma.

Jennifer Law, Dominic Deibel and Sawyer Reed scored first place finishes, and the Hyaks team finished fourth. Anthony Tignino, Kevin Braden, Kaleb Towery, Joey Franklin, Robert Buck, Robby Patton, Tyler Reed and Alex Cadle also finished fourth or better.

Results:

119 – Dominic Deibel (NB) pinned Mitchell Vik (Wahkiakum) in 22 secs for first place

125 – Anthony Tignino (NB) was pinned by Ryan Mclain (Adna) in 5:01 for 2^nd

135 – Kevin Braden (NB) was pinned by Zach West(Napavine) in 5:41 for 4^th

145 – Kaleb Towery (NB) dec. (6-2) over Joey Franklin (NB) for 3^rd & 4^th

171 – Robert Buck (NB) injury defaulted to Myron Smith (SB) for 2^nd, Robby Patton (NB) lost by dec (5-0) to Cameron Elliott (Wahkiakum) for 4^th

189 – Tyler Reed (NB) pinned Alex Cadle (NB) in :43 for 3^rd & 4^th

285 – Sawyer Reed (NB) pinned Hawken Winslow (Raymond) in 5:24 for 1^st
