Phyllis honored
Last night, the Grays Harbor County commissioners honored Phyllis Shaughnessy as “North Beach Citizen of the Year,” honoring her for “years of service to North Beach citizens.” (North Coast News readers recently voted her a similar honor.) A choked up Phyllis said “thank you . . .we are here to serve. And through various ways like our food bank and lunch program we are able to reach out to many many people.”
Dave Agner, who with Shaughnessy is a North Beach Community Improvement Association (NBCIA executive), gave commissioners a presentation on flooding on State Route 109.
“We’re going to actively seek to see what we can do,” promised Al Carter, the commissioner who is also an NBCIA member.
