Half way around to the moon three quarters and your on Mars
Me confused. What you talkin’ about Willis?
Maybe Tom can publish the utube site for the public to see in addition to the city council video… Maybe the city should put it on their website. Maybe the Chamber too….Hotels, Motels, and all the other tourist sites.
Thank you whatwttos! I found it too, and they call that symbol a fish hook, how appropriate : )
Maybe the people that want to increase the speed limits again should take an obstacle avoidance test. Maybe Joe could offer that in the Convention Center parking lot. Then they would see that they are not 21 anymore. It would be a real eye opener. Then they could consider if the item thrown out was their grandchild.
This Way-That Way-Round About
Good idea. The WSDOT has good information on their site that maybe Tom could publish. There’s the AARP safe driving refresher course for those who need more help. Taking this course also lowers your car insurance premium. Joe Reason and someone else alternate teaching the AARP course and they put a notice in the paper for new classes held at the Convention Center every three months or so. You can also take the test online. There is also a utube version online from WDOT. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MywmtskFiiI
i found it, thanks, whatwttos. now if we can get the paper,no not this version, to print some articles with pictures so that all can see them it’d be a good thing. perhaps a weekly column with pages out of the drivers handbook for those of us who haven’t tested in a while as a refresher.
Google “roundabout symbol” and you will be able to locate the article that shows it is an internationally recognized symbol. I do think it would be a candidate for the official logo of Ocean Shores per Phillip’s definition.
It means what we’ve been saying for months:
YOU CAN’T GET THERE FROM HERE!
does anyone know the acyual meaning of this symbol? is it a legal traffic sign? or is it something made up special for this roundabout? all kidding aside, it is not listed in any official sign catalog nor drivers manual.
Phillip, I think you have gotten the new Ocean Shores Symbol.
It’s all symbolic
The circle represents the will of the voters. The line and arrows represent……..you get the picture.
Ink blot: My friend sees the dreaded Greek Hydra, a huge snake with many heads – when a head is cut off, two grow in its place. Like large city projects, when one is finished two more arise to terrorize the public. Wow, what else is in your subconscious?
Remember that pedestrians have the right of way in those areas with the big white stripes just before the yield signs.
By the way, the arrow just shows you which way the cows went after they jumped over the moon….
Can’t keep a library open if the city, which owns it, closes it. You can’t ride your bike there either because those that want to raise the speed limits do not think roads were built for bikes or pedestrians.
Ah, a Rorschach ink blot test: I see Kokopelli–a sign of rebirth for Ocean Shores, but Kokopelli is also a trickster. Watch out!
If you really pay attention its not that hard to navigate through. However!!! If the elderly people in this town do not start paying attention there are going to be some serious accidents! Ive been cut off atleat four times this week!
Wow, Over the Radar, I think you need less caffeine….or something : ) These lovely people just have a sense of humor, which is a healthy way to deal with the stresses of life…we property owners don’t live there yet, so we really can’t know what they have been dealing with. I read good news in the weekly North Coast News every week, and find good news and comments here too, every week. Calm down man/woman, before you give yourself a heart attack please? Thank you.
What a bunch of cynics! Ya’all really need to get a life out there in Podunk. I sure hope I never find out who you really are. You’re lucky to have elected a few brave souls who are willing to take a risk. I know a huge company that banked it’s very soul on a certain airplane and saved themselves from dying. Your city is dying! Better hope and pray that some of these improvements breathe a bit of fresh air into your old tired souls and into a few thousand tourists next summer! “Let us be upbuilding” or some such it says in a good book I read once. And look! I can’t even say anything nice about your creepy attitudes disguised as half arsed humor. The more I get to know the vocal minority in this burg, the more I wish I didn’t own property here! Let’s grow up and find something constructive to do with our time and for the community. Why don’t you ride your bike around the bout and volunteer a few hours to keep the library open? Wouldn’t that be some awesome GOOD news for a change! But then I guess that just doesn’t sell papers now does it?
“Spot says go left, no I mean straight, no I mean….oops!”
Which way did he go George? Which way did he go?
When aliens have no crops.
They forgot some of this – guess they need a little more money http://www.yatahonga.com/data/media/48/200662/Cul_de_sac.jpg
I am their leader. Which way did they go?
follow the arrows and collect $300,000. do not pass go. exit ocean shores with a giant smirk on your face.
See how it looks like a question mark? That’s the new Ocean Shores logo.
round and round they go, where they stop nobody knows.
That makes my head hurt!
The new tsunami evacuation route.
Grab your partner and sweep forward, sweep to the left, and move those hips….
Neutral sex symbol!
Do the Hokey Pokey and turn yourself around, that’s what it’s all about!
How about “This way to the Lan of Fear”?
