I don’t think Santa is going to come to the council meeting with a bag of money!!! HO HO HO.
Nope, it is going to be Sheriff of Nottingham trying to create an Ambulance Utility. Oh the poor sharecroppers. Another tax on their backs.
Will the council require those “squatters” with campground or improved lots to pay the fee?
What other things does the Sheriff of Nottingham have in mind?
Oh, a Library and Interpretive Center Levy. Will it be adjusted as the regular income items of B&O, Sales Tax, Permits, Licenses and other fees increase when the economy recovers? No, I think not.
It will just be what they originally planned. $50 dollars for the Ambulance Utility fee plus $64 dollars for the Library/IC fee. Oh, that is more than the $100 they wanted for the EMS Levy on a $200K house. Go figure.
That’s too bad Tom. At least you know if you were in the race, I think you would win hands down.
The drama in this town never ends does it? One problem is solved, two more become apparent. One can only beat their chest so long before it’s time to sit down, take a deep breath and enjoy the moments living in this little corner of Paradise. It’s all a matter of maintaining some sense of perspective. The council meeting Monday should be interesting, to say the least. Do we expect any surprises?
Thanks kindly, C & D, but I’m excluding myself.
Glad you’re still having fun, despite all the “As the Budget Turns” soap-drama. . .
Hey Tom, we would like to nominate you for Person of the Year! You have made the biggest difference in this town. We have learned to have fun with absurdity, to have our voices be heard, to know when to hold our ground, to question authority and most of all, not to take ourselves too seriously. THANK YOU!
I wish I could make it, but we’ll be out of town for the day. Darn, I missed the last one too.
