To give new and prospective residents a better idea about local emergency services the Ocean Shores Fire Department and Emergency Care Department have developed an information flyer about the local fire and medical response system. The cost of the project was underwritten by three local businesses.
Everyone who has helped the Interpretive Center prepare for and who have volunteered during the summer should reach around and give themselves a pat on the back. The summer turnout exceeded the wildest expectations with 7273 visitors taking in the exhibits compared to 5068 in 1998.
Ocean Shores City Manager Jack Mckenzie has informed the Ocean Shores City Council that he will not seek a new contract and will leave his post in March if not before.

Why not make the Levi Lift $1.00? That would build us a new police station with no budget problems.
After all Washington DC may give us fixed income folks a $250.00 bonus this year. That would cover the Levi Lift.
If the project goes over budget just add it on to our water rates.That is after Ken figures out how much our new water system is going to cost us.
