Grab your waders!
And stay at this Ocean Shores lodging — all rooms have a “water view”! We also have a “floating shuttle,” which will pick you up or drop you off at the “dry dock” of nearby City Hall . . .

FYI, the paving company only does the paving. The City does the plan reviews, issues permits, and inspections. If the City did not see this coming we have very inexperienced people working for the City. This is also an example of why you do not pave an entire City before you have a drainage system in place. Before any street is paved all water service lines need to be Poly or copper pipe. If any of the lines are galvanized and depending on their age they will be failing soon. Next you will need to make sure you know where the water will be draining after you make the street higher. All plans should show elevations.
What scares me is if the paving LID and the roundabout plans did not show elevations we could see homes and businesses flooding during heavy rains. Worse yet if a home or business never flooded until the paving or roundabout was built we may see lawsuits soon.

Just a reminder , the contractor is Granite Construction and not Lakeside Industries.
You should see it today… The PIRATE’S COVE PUB now has sailing facilities just outside their back door. However, you may have to walk the plank to get to your car.
Did you see the puddle in the middle of the road between this location and city hall. That was a good paving job!!!
Please call the tax man so we can be properly assessed for waterfront property.
