There seems to be a great deal of confusion about what the 45 cent per thousand issue is all about. It is not a new tax. It is a tax that the people of this city voted on themselves 3 years ago to address the enormous problem we have of improving roads.

With the impending closure of some sections of the beach to driving in Ocean Shores, the city is probably breathing a sigh of relief that State Parks is finally going to do some work on the Chance ala Mer beach access.
The Planning Commission of Ocean Shores has completed its land-use plan for the next twenty years and will hold a public hearing on the comprehensive plan on Oct 10th.

Dale Diessel, a resident of Oyehut, caught a 22 pound coho salmon on the Copalis river Sunday, It may be the largest coho caught on the Copalis.
