I am still very sad and mad about the waste of money being allowed. Paving streets that may get 10 or 15 cars a day 6″ to 8″ thick is ridiculous. I do not know who engineered the paving but cars do not damage asphalt concrete pavement. Trucks and buses do. I have sent emails to the Mayor, had meetings with the Mayor and Public Works Director last year hoping to stop this waste. I have estimated that the City has wasted over 10 million dollars on the paving project. The thickness of pavement depends on the amount of heavy traffic a road gets. I would hope someone would help me investigate this issue. Take a look at the National Asphalt Pavement Associations web site.
