More on Damon Point
From Brian Hovis, Parks Planner, Washington State Parks, re potential Parks “surplus” designation of Damon Point State Park:
Tom: I have spoken with Bryan Larson, Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and his supervisor Zoanne Thomas about Damon Point. Both said that if State Parks cancels the interagency agreement, that DNR will not manage differently and public access would continue as it is now.

Well, I sure hope so. I know it’s been beat up by storms the last couple years and is hard to maintain, but that very beating up is what draws many of the people there.
That is good to hear. Thanks Tom for the follow-up and for representing the press at the meeting last night.
