Absolutely! If you don’t like your doc get a new one. If you want to sit and yap go see the barber and get a haircut. They have your chart tell what’s wrong a let them treat you. There is no reason why it should take more than a few minutes.
Dr.Holm and his staff always treated me with respect and dignity. I’ve had the 3 minute Dr.s before. I’ll take a Dr.like Dr.Holm over the meat-market in-and-out types any day! When you shop for a new Dr; remember… if you don’t like them, get one you like! It’s as simple as that! Good luck Dr. Holm! DGW
Nobody is disagreing the importance of local health care, but more so the way people were treated. And you are correct there is not alot of community interest. Which I’m sure has greatly deflated the ego of a particular doctor. I think he’s discovering he loves himself more than the community loves him.
I was a patient of Dr. Holm and really liked him. He gave that personal touch that we all miss. He wanted to know about you and gave you the time to explain. I will miss having him in Ocean Shores. You may of had to wait several hours for your appt. but you knew that going in. He hung in there as long as he could. He gave up his family life for the citizens of O.S. and the contractors who said they were working on bringing in a clinic, I think was a bunch of crap. We all will suffer now and have to drive to Aberdeen, Montesano and Olympia.
Good Luck to you Dr. Holm and Thank You, Kelly Loykasek
I just read the various articles and letters regarding Dr. Holm.
I don’t know the good doctor. I don’t know the specific of the situation.
What I found interesting was the authorship of the thirteen letters.
Eleven were written by two individuals. Two were written by two others; one each.
That is not a lot of visible community interest for something as important as a clinic.
It seems to me that some level of local health care is vital to a community, particularly a community with a high percentage of seniors.
Maybe “Thoughts on Dr. Holm?” isn’t the cogent question. Maybe the relevant question is (or should be) “Thoughts on local health care?”
yes, something does smell “fishy”. not only the clinic and what will happen to it and where the money goes, but all the good folks he left to “flounder”.
The more I think about it the more it seems as though there is something “fishy”. I can’t put my finger on it but something here just doen’t seem right, almost like a hidden agenda. I don’t know. However, when the clinic does sell I wonder how much the doc will be reimbursing the F.O.C. for the work they did on his office, which undoubtedly raised the resale on it. Perhaps he’s waiting for the real estate market to turn around so he can cash in.
I wonder how long the good doctor will stay once his house sells.
Who are they trying to kid? It’s too bad people believe them and dote on his every word.
not any more
interesting you should mention perscriptions. by the time i get to the os pharmacy from my dr in aberdeen my perscriptions are ready. with dr holms people it took a minimum of 1 day and sometimes 2 to get my stuff. let me see, how far from the clinic to the drug store? hmmmmm…….
What’s inappropriate is for a doctor to leave his patients without medications or the ability to refill them. That clinic should have no problem clearing 500,000 a year if run properly. He has railroaded alot of people for the past few months leaving them out to dry. And in the two letters he has put out he thinks we should feel sorry for him? Hey Doc don’t let the door hit you in the you know what when you skirt out of town. I bet if IGA up and left town in the middle of the night “claiming” they weren’t making any money and people were working for free, nobody would be saying “well I guess were weren’t forced to buy our groceries there.”
if all the money my insurance company paid dr holm went into the clinics account and not to pay the doctor, do i get it back as a non supporter of the clinic? guess i’ll have to ask my insurance company.
I believe the money gernerated by the clinic went right back into overhead to keep the clinic running, meaning Dr. Holm was not taking a salary after paying the overhead. I personally am sad to see the clinic closing down. I commend Dr. Holm and his family for trying so hard to keep it open, but I understand. I know many of your are angry, but no one forced you to seek Dr. Holm’s services and taking personal potshots is inappropriate.
Thank You, Mr.Ray. I had begun to think I was alone in my beliefs of the “situation” here in OS. Maybe now that the clinic is closing some folks will speak their mind and stop paying homage to DR. Whiner. Yes he did bill and I can show all the proof anyone would need to prove he wasn’t just “volunteering” as he would like everyone to believe.
And for the last 18 months how much time was he actually seeing patients. And as for working for free, gee was he not billing that entire time? Ocean Shores was here before the good doctor was here and I gaurantee Ocean Shores will be here when he is gone. How someone who only took the well insured couldn’t stay afloat is beyond me. (perhaps the enourmous house corvette…etc, etc had something to do with it.) In his last rant which was published a few months ago Dr. Holmes stated his staff was working for peanuts…..well Dr. YOU pay your staff/family so maybe they need to address that with you. I wonder how many local businesses have had a group of “friends” take a special interest in their clinic/business at no cost to the owner and spend alot of money remodeling it. This town has enough whiners, narcissistics, and bad businessmen. Maybe we could fire a few policemen and firemen and you and the mayor can pay yourselves whatever you want…..boy when it comes to healthcare everyone thinks it’s Obama who’s the evil one. I hope this is a good eye opener to all those who are wondering what happened…..GREED.
Phil
no i would not.but then, i’m not a doctor.
“look what holm has done to ya’ll”?????
The man and his family have been working for FREE for the last 18 months to try and make this work !!!!
How many others would do that for us?
Fritz? How about you?
it’s about time the good doctor came clean and let everyone in on what was going to take place.
mirror mirror on the wall look what holm has done to ya’ll!
