The biggest obstacle so far for Ocean Shores skateboarders is a facility that will provide the space and surface they need. The group has been using the parking lot at the Ocean shores Convention Center for over a year. Now in an attempt to resolve liability concerns of the City and the VCB the youths in the group met with Police Chief Mike Wilson and Parks Board Chairman Frank Bidell. The Parties sat down for over two hours and out lined their needs, goals, budget constraints, possible solutions and long time park facilities.
Cooper’s Custom Ornamental Iron is a new shop in Ocean Shores. Rayburn and Sandee Cooper from Mc Cleary are the owners of the store which features patio furniture, weather vanes, and anything made out of iron.

A 4 star hotel with 159 elegantly appointed rooms with fire place, a convention center, 2 restaurants, a lounge and casino is taking shape 400 feet from the surf at Hogan’s Corner just north of Ocean Shores. The Quinault Beach Resort is expected to open in the late spring of 2000.
The large sewer project in Ocean Shores is progressing on schedule so far this year. Area 5 will be 90% complete this week. Construction activities in that area as well as in area 6 will stop for the following few weeks until the ground water recedes, then main line installation will continue
High Scores for Ocean Shores Bowl individual games Woman’s League were Lynn Adams, Linda French and Marge Henry.

Grays Harbor Prosecutor Stewart Menafee has filed gross misdemeanor criminal charges against Ocean Shores City Council member Peter Jordan for failing to keep records at his private business.
Weight lifters from North Beach High School took third place in the Girls Team Division at the 2004 Washington State High School Power Lifting Championship. North Beach weight lifters were Lindsey Payne, Sheena Jerome, Heather McCutheon, and Jessica Fitts.
