More District qualifiers

In addition the previously mentioned discus star Elizabeth Thatcher and hurdlers Nate Paro and Sebastian Makinson, other North Beach athletes who qualified for the District meet, starting this Thursday at Raymond: Cheresse Weidman, who won the shotput and placed second in the discus; Chris Miller, second in boys discus; Jazmin Alfaro, second in the 400 and fourth in the 100; girls 200 m relay (Alfaro, Savannah Hieronymus, Leeanna Mong, Alexis Joyce), boys 400 m relay (Makinson, Kevin Braden, Miller and Paro), girls 100 m relay (Mong, Hieronymus, Kayla Jerome and Kaytee Case).

The top five finishers at Districts go to the State meet, May 29-30 at Eastern Washington University.

The District golf tournament is going on today and Wednesday at Ocean Shores Golf Course.
