I may be a little late commenting on this but it seems everyone has been late when it comes to addressing the zoning "mistake" made on the 19 acres of city land just south of the public works yard. It seems that the task list only addresses the possiblity of selling this land...not the zoning issue itself. Is it really true that after waiting for almost 16 months the only action to be taken by the city is to “Create a pro-active cost effective facilities improvement plan that includes an aggressive strategy to market and sell, sellable City-owned properties.” Does anyone believe that the city would consider selling this property prior to correcting the zoning ordinance that was passed without proper process? Not to mention land that was purchased with improper funds. Please Mr. Mayor and Council members, let's address the main issues first, before considering "any" other action.

What am I missing? Why didn't the comprehensive Park and Recreation Plan go to the Parks Board? Seems it would start there and become a reference for the Planning Commission. Think the last Parks & Recreation plan was generated by the Parks Board.
