Admission: Adults, $3; kids, $1; 4 and under, free.

 SATURDAY 
 10 a.m. Explore the Shores: 
 Children are invited to participate in an interactive program that allows them to visit with scientists and beach specialists. Admission is free when accompanied by a paying adult.
  Noon: The amazing lives of Crows and Ravens, Mark Izatt, the “Crow Man” of Grays Harbor 
 1 p.m. Driftwood: What is it? Where did it come from? What could it be used for, Neil Eldridge, director, Ocean Shores Interpretive Center 

2 p.m. Flotsam from the North Pacific: Flotsam stranding on the Washington coast, Dr. Curtis Ebbesmeyer, Oceanographer and editor of Beachcomber’s Alert.
  3 p.m. Harmful algae of the North Pacific: Anthony Odell, Olympic region harmful algae blooms, University of Washington 

4 p.m. The way we were: History of the North Beach, Kelly Calhoun, president and director of the Museum of the North Beach 

6:30 p.m. Living with Wildlife, Ed and Sheila Mitchell, wildlife rescue specialists 

7:30 p.m. Beachcombing the shores of the Pacific Northwest: The many treasures lurking in and on the sand, Alan Rammer, marine conservation education specialist, Department of Fish and Wildlife 

 SUNDAY 
  11 a.m. Some of the dangerous and delightful species of the Washington 
 coast, Invasive species, snowy plover and sea otters, Deanna Lynch wildlife biologist, Doug Zimmer and Taylor Pittman, information education specialists, United States Fish and Wildlife Service

1 p.m. The wreck of the Andalusia in the straits of Juan De Fuca, Bob Steelquist, education director for the Olympic Coast National marine Sanctuary •Winners for the People’s Choice and Dash for Trash or Treasure announced 

2 p.m. Common birds of Ocean Shores beaches, a digital photo presentation of birds that frequent our beaches, Tim Boyer, photographer 

3 p.m. Oyster farming in the north bay of Grays Harbor, Oyster growing, Mike Lytle, owner of Lytle Seafoods
