Girls, boys lose Saturday
In the girls District IV 2B championship game, Napavine ran away from North Beach, 58-29. The girls finish second in the District.
The boys had a lead late in the game, but missed key opportunities to put the win away, and lost to Adna, 52-48. They finished fourth in the District.
Both games were relatively meaningless. The boys and girls already had locked up spots in the State tournament, which begins on Wednesday.

You must be the announcer from the game … figures. This is a North Beach based paper, no one is even talking about the Mossyrock game in this article. The NB girls are headed to state … that’s news in its self.
The girls championship game only goes to prove; had the Refs called a fair game when the North Beach girls played the Mossyrock Vikings the result of the game, most likely, would have been different.
Refs calling penalties against the Vikings that were non existant and allowing the Hyaks to cellebrate on the court (high fiving each other)after getting away with a deliberate shove, slap, knockdown etc. Yes the lady Hyak’s made all thier junk shots, but had the lady Vikings been allowed to play, I believe, the game whould have ended differently.
I beleive it is a moral crime that “fair play” was cast aside by the Ref’s
