Happy birthday, Coach Moore!
Quite a Friday night at the North Beach High gym: Senior night, big crowd and a high-rolling win, all on popular Coach Larry Moore’s 50th birthday. Seniors Jake Ray (16 points) and Jamaal Lind (13 rebounds) helped the Hyaks to an 85-58 win over Willapa Valley. Russell Alfaro was the biggest gun, with 23 points, most in the first half when North Beach jumped to a big win.
Moment of the night: When the Hyaks hit 50 points in the first half, they called a time out. The crowd rose, and sang “Happy Birthday to You” to Coach Moore.
