Maybe it is time for some REAL enforcement of our DUI and speed limits in town. We have a policy of not giving tickets because it will impact tourism. Dead tourist do not spend money either. We need to really consider the fact that many cities have 25 MPH speed limits EVERYWHERE and none of our roads are like the 101 through Aberdeen or Hoquiam which have a speed there of 30 MPH on that two lane roadway going in each direction. We need our city management and council to realize this and drop speeds across the board. We also need a 4 way stop at Ocean Lake and Point Brown to both slow people down and get a break in the long speedway it currently represents. Visibility there is limited. The maximum speed for trucks on any street should be 25 also. We are a growing city with children, wildlife and elderly residents. We need ot consider that we have no sidewalks and poor visibility many times. How many people need to die, be injured or wildlife killed before we have some common sense? “
